I'm mainly into the first series. The one I knew first, as a child, was the 90s one, but since I've started watching it more I prefer the 70s one. All I remember of the second series was it being kinda wacko and very different to what I know of the first. *shrugs*

Ah, yes. I'm a rotter for commenting on fics of people I don't know. I kinda chicken out. =P Yeah, I think you got them pretty good. I liked the way they were so logical in "Keeping Secrets", it's really in keeping with the feel of the characters. I think it's very John to have him go about it all so systematically, to have him go all camp and weepy on us just would have been weird. (I find that in many fandoms people tend to make the characters the way they think they should be, rather than how they are) =S The scene between John and Mike was great too, really liked that bit.
I like Kath. She's cool, kinda takes it all in her stride. But at the same time I want to run and hug her up when she's having that nightmare (both in her dreams and with her parents). I don't know so much about Elena or Paul, but I like the way they're presented. Elena particularly (You know, it's really hard for me to type Elena right. I keep automatically trying to type Eleanor). You didn't overplay the emotions, which I think is is nice about it, it gives a bit more of a realistic feel to the characters.

Ah, whining's ok. I mean, if you can't rant in your journal, where can you? I think my number one tag's school, which probably says a lot. Slightly worrying too, because I like to think that most of my life happens outside of school. =S Doctor Who is indeed an interesting thing. I watch it, and I like it, but I'm nowhere near as obsessed with it as Emma is. (In your profile you claim to out-quote most people, can you out-do her? Because that's impressive. =|) I will understand most of classic whodom, but I haven't watched as much of it as I'd like, unfortunately. Mainly due to the suckiness of my internet and the difficulty of finding episodes on the internet. Eh, rambling, again. I do that. =P

I saw the original series first, and I didn't see any of the new series when I was a kid. But I got into the TP thanks to Big Finish audios - if they hadn't advertised their TP series in trailers on DW discs, I never would have heard of it :o) Now I have all the DVDs of both series and I've heard three series of the audios. I hear there's an audio with my name somewhere in the fourth or fifth series, so I really want to hear that :o)

I prefer the OS too - I don't know why, but I really enjoy stuff from the 70s :o) The NS is pretty cool too, but it seems more kid-oriented and the bad guys are more annoying and one-dimensional.

Thanks for your comments! It makes me very happy that you enjoyed the fics :o) It was quite easy to write John, because I can hear all the OS characters so clearly in my head, so it's easy to imagine what they might say and how they'd say it. It'd be more difficult to write John any other way! :o)

Kath was tricky to come up with, because I'm always wary about creating OCs who are the focus of a story. I had to make her the kind of person who'd do well with the TPs, but without being overly great, and also without too many flaws. Did I manage to do that, d'you think? :o)
Elena and Paul are quite cool. I didn't manage to get much of Paul in the story, but he's there where I could manage to squeeze him in. He wasn't integral to the plot, but I think I got his voice down okay in the scene he featured in. In the audios, Paul's rather cheeky and Elena gets quite tired of him, but she's ultimately a very sympathetic person. And yep, it is quite a strange name :o) It's kinda some weird cross between Helena and Eleanor. I thought it was Helena for a while, before I read the back of a CD cover.

In your profile you claim to out-quote most people, can you out-do her?
Uhh... probably. We've never had any kind of quote-off, but I could probably show her up :oD Give me any quote from Red Dwarf or Friends and I'll tell you the episode, who said it or what was said next. I can quote whole episodes of some things, including Doctor Who audios. I usually don't like to brag, but it is one of my best talents :o)

Oh, something I meant to mention, but wasn't sure if I should... There's a Tomorrow People event in September, called Hyperspace 2008 (http://www.thetomorrowpeoplearchive.com/hyperspace2008/index.html). It's in Teddington, so hardly any distance for you. The reason I wasn't sure if I should say anything or not is that the ticket costs £135, and I didn't want to taunt you with it if you weren't able to go. But I figured you might have a job, or an upcoming birthday, or just generous parents :o) It'd be brilliant if you could go, cos they're struggling to get enough people booked so the event can go ahead. I figured it'd be better to tell you so you could maybe go, than to leave you in the dark. What d'you think - would you be able to manage the ticket price? It'd be an awesome weekend :o)
