Bit of a late update - I was away at the weekend. Twentieth (wow!) drabble for the doctorwho_100 challenge.

It doesn’t look like she’s in pain. If anything, she’s just nervous, probably because she thinks the Doctor’s conducting a ‘management inspection’. Cathica acts as though she’s done this a thousand times, which she probably has.

Later, when he sits in the chair and the bright light lances down like a bolt of lightning, he finds out it really doesn’t hurt at all. Until it all goes wrong. The light starts streaming out of his head instead of in, thoughts and secrets escaping, stolen, gone, and it hurts, it burns white hot inside his mind, something’s gone wrong, what’s happening?

I might do... if the right prompt inspires me. But I've got a carefully allotted quota of drabbles for each companion, so it depends. But thanks, I'm glad you liked it :o)

An interesting choice for Adam. You could have chosen the more overused way with him after he was dropped off, but you did. It makes it stick out and actually be worth reading. Well done!

*grins* It's been suggested I should do one for after, but as I said above, it depends. I agree that it's a bit overused, at least among the few Adam stories that I've read, and I'm glad that you like this one :o) Thanks!
