The iPlayer should work okay... I had trouble watching the bit of the Hootenanny that I missed on New Year's Eve, but that's because it doesn't like me cos I have Firefox. It wouldn't let me download it, because I need ActiveX which is only with Internet Explorer. And playing it straight from the site wasn't as smooth as listening to the BBC radio stations online - it didn't load ahead of the bar, and kept stopping every couple of minutes. Luckily I wasn't trying to watch the whole thing. And yes, that's fine if it doesn't work out, I'll figure out a way to help you get them asap :o)
Actually, episode 6 is how far he's up to. I started him at the beginning, otherwise it makes very little sense :oD I don't believe in starting someone off in the middle of a series when introducing them to a show, unless it's something either ridiculously long or if the middle stories are much better and the earlier ones can easily be skipped without detriment to the plot. We hadn't watched any since before the New Year, cos he wanted to watch Pushing Daisies for a while. But we've caught up on that now, so more LoM is in order, I think :o) Edit: And he's loving it so far, as far as I can tell. He's usually a lot more subdued about these things than I am, except when it all spills over and then he can get just as squeeful as I get :o) But I can usually tell when he's enjoying a programme - he loves it :o)
