Timeline: At the end of Revelation of the Daleks, and during the Big Finish audio The Gathering.
Spoilers: Some, for Revelation of the Daleks and The Gathering.


She didn't say goodbye, not properly. How can she leave him and not do it properly? She runs back, concrete footsteps echoing around her, the sound of the TARDIS dematerialising pushing her faster, even though she already knows that there’s no hope of reaching it in time. She rounds the corner, breathless, but it’s gone from her sight.

Twenty years later, she sees him again; same old cricket outfit and celery, same old awkward pauses, same old Doctor. She gets one last adventure. She tells him she doesn’t regret leaving. Twenty years after she left him, Tegan gets her goodbye.

I watched/listened to the two stories quite close together, so this was something that kinda wrote itself :o) I'm rather fond of Tegan. I'm currently enjoying her arguments with Turlough :oD It's fun.

There was some Liz last week, but nobody noticed it :o(

I did notice it, but I've not seen any Liz (although not heard might be a better phrase cos I've not seen any turlough either), so I didn't think I could comment. I've just realised that's a little bit stupid, cos commetns are surely love whatever, but it's a valid point anyway.

about your birthday giftiness... I'm at a complete loss about what to do for you. Any hints?

Awww...to use a cliche, short and sweet. As I said, Tegan's departure didn't really give me a lot of closure in the episode...so it's nice that she gets her goodbye in the audio.

And oh how I love that companion icon of yours. First time I saw it, I just sat there for a while, squinting like a moron, trying to read all the names...are they all there?

I always use that icon for posting my drabbles, but it's not all of them. Some of them are ones I haven't read about yet, so won't be including, and some of the tv ones are missing. This is who's there: Rose, Susan, Romana, Harry, Leela, Ian, Sarah, Tegan, Ben, Polly, Fitz, Grace, Jack, Ace, Anji, Jamie, Adric, Peri, Zoe, Mel, Liz, Benny, Jo and Mickey. I remember getting them all down a while ago. It took a while :o)

Yeah, in The Gathering. Adorable goodbye, too - there's this whole bit where Tegan's trying to talk about how her travels made her appreciate things in life, like the, um, the... "I'm trying not to use the word 'magic'..." And then Five starts laughing, and it's totally infectious :oD It's like Giles in the finale of S6 when Buffy fills him in on stuff and then they can't stop laughing.
