A massive, strangely textured sphere is just visible past a bizarre structure that extends to either side, shuttles departing from the sphere and docking there, delegations embarking on convoys to the outer surface in pod-shaped transports.
Suddenly, she’s inside the sphere, where thick vines gather, twine together, and are pulled apart by gossamer threads; an intricate dance. Next to her in the simulation, wearing a childlike smile, the Doctor watches two vines separating and switching partners.
“What is this?” she asks, bewildered but amazed. “It’s so strange, so... so alien!”
“This, Charley, is the inside of a human body cell.”
